About Performance Solutions

Trained as an instructional designer in the early nineties, when only select universities offered an education in instructional design (ID), Ranya Verson, PSI’s founder, began experimenting with multi-lingual workforce and performance.

Early in her career she created training courses for a multi-lingual workforce in manufacturing using the entire ID model—from assessment to evaluation.  Understanding how to get processes and people from different cultures with different educational levels and different expressions of language, moving in one direction became a fascinating question.   This early experience with manufacturing and multi-lingual workforce took hold of her curiosity and heart, while the holistic perspective set the platform for her current vision.

Key Assumptions

  • Learning through play is a fundamental and natural human state. Great training programs take advantage of this natural condition. Since all people are familiar with play, training enhanced through this type of creativity cuts through cross cultural barriers such as differences in language and culture.
  • It is very possible to meet immediate training needs while addressing the longer-term needs of an undereducated workforce. Paying attention and allocating resources for both needs simultaneously generates good will and offers a career ladder with the necessary smaller steps for these workers.
  • Language is a tool that is key to getting everyone to pull in the same direction.  Organizations can take advantage of this tool more easily and with more profound results than they have ever imagined.
  • It is important to recognize that creating a process that develops a common language offers a way an organization can demonstrate respect to all its people.  In return, people are encouraged to display all their gifts and talents.  In this way the true potential of the workforce will be displayed and the organization can leverage all its strengths. This type of organization is unstoppable.
